Kehan Miller production bio
Across his career, Kehan (often credited as K.W. Miller on the creative side of production) has worked at the intersection of creative development and production, collaborating with talent, directors, writers, producers, entertainment attorneys, agencies, designers, crews and production partners. His experience spans development, producing, directing, writing, production management, talent coordination, post-production and multi-platform content delivery. His international perspective, combined with extensive experience across traditional and emerging media, allows him to move comfortably between creative vision, business strategy and the practical demands of bringing ambitious creative projects to life—whether on screen, on stage, in live entertainment or through music and digital media.
Film & Television
Kehan is the founder and director of Blue Aeris, a multifaceted production company specializing in music, film and live events, based in New Zealand.
He is currently guiding the development and negotiations for the film adaptation of the award-winning video game DREDGE, created by New Zealand-based Black Salt Games. Kehan secured prominent Los Angeles entertainment law firm Greenberg Glusker for legal counsel and representation with UTA (United Talent Agency). The project team has been working with Wētā Workshop on early concept design while advancing script development with top-tier creative talent, including acclaimed director Andrew Adamson.
He is also the lead producer and editor of the Oscar-qualifying documentary short film INK AND GOLD: AN ARTIST’S JOURNEY TO OLYMPIC GLORY. Since early 2023, the film has been an Official Selection at 87 film festivals, earning 79 awards, including 46 Best Documentary Short awards. Among its honors is the FICTS Award for the “Olympic Storytellers” section at SPORT MOVIES & TV 2023 – 40th Milano International FICTS Fest in Milan, Italy. The project is currently in the final stages of development as a docuseries.
Kehan also served as consulting producer on DRUM SONG: THE RHYTHM OF LIFE, a socially and politically relevant documentary told from an Indigenous perspective that explores the impact of the climate crisis through the eyes of Alaska’s Indigenous peoples as they draw upon ancestral knowledge and modern science to survive, adapt and thrive. Its companion project, RECLAMATION, is a rock ’n’ roll call to action bringing Indigenous peoples and their allies together to protect their lands, waters and communities in the face of climate crisis and further industrial development.
His film credits include the dark comedy BACKGAMMON: SURVIVAL OF THE MISFITS, starring Wendy Braun (Atypical, The Mentalist) and Josh Coxx (Strong Medicine, Thor), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and received a Best Feature Film Award at the New York International Independent Film Festival. He also worked on A COUPLE OF DAYS AND NIGHTS, featuring Allison Munn, Jackie Beat, Deirdre O’Connell, David Lago and Shonda Farr, with Nancy Wilson of Heart serving as composer and consultant.
His documentary and unscripted credits include 4 INCH HEALS, FRIENDS: END OF LIFE CELEBRATIONS and ERRONEOUS, for which he served as writer. The projects explore subjects ranging from one woman’s courageous pursuit of alternative approaches to cancer treatment, to personalized end-of-life experiences, to identity theft, falsified death records and money laundering within the Social Security system and international banking.
His television work includes projects with five-time Emmy Award winner Wayne Brady, Disney Channel’s Kids’ Choice Award-winning THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK, Nickelodeon’s THE AMANDA SHOW, ALL THAT and THE NICK CANNON SHOW, as well as television and concert productions for Peabody and 12-time Emmy Award winner Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop.
Stage
On stage, Kehan has produced, written, directed & choreographed for notable stage productions such as the award-winning and critically acclaimed NOBODY HEARS A BROKEN DRUM in L.A.; Barry Manilow’s award winning COPACABANA; THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN starring Wayne Brady; OLIVER TWISTED (hosted by Tom Hanks, Lily Tomlin & Lesley Ann Warren); EVITA (hosted by Shirley Jones and Marty Ingels); RAIN; GYPSY; WEST SIDE STORY; YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN; THE WIZARD OF OZ and more. He co-wrote and co-produced the play THE BASEMENT which ran to critical acclaim in Los Angeles. Kehan also co-wrote, co-produced and directed the critically acclaimed ANNE, a play personally blessed by and based on the writings of Anne Morrow Lindbergh. He has worked as part of the creative team for cruise lines and theme parks, including the original director/choreographer for The Blues Brothers and Hollywood Hi-Tones shows for the inaugural opening of Universal Studios Japan, as well as Azamara and Holland America Cruise Lines.
Live Events
Kehan has coordinated and managed all aspects of VIP events for clients such as Disney, Penn State University, Italian vineyard Sartori Di Verona, BK Wine Tours, Tourism NZ, The Wairarapa Dark Sky Society, and multiple groups and organizations from New Zealand, China, Singapore, the US and France. He has been part of the creative and entertainment production team for multiple charities and non-profit organizations which include Special Olympics, weSPARK Cancer Support Center, City Of Hope Hospital, Children's Hospital of Orange County and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
MUSIC
Kehan has written, arranged and produced tunes featured on several albums and soundtracks including multiple episodes of The Young & The Restless; Chef Roblé and Co., America’s Next Top Model, Sony Playstation Luxury Suite and Blue Aeris' JOY. He has worked with such companies as Sony, The Orchard, Mercia Records, CouldB Entertainment and Imaginary Friends Music Partners. He has produced, directed and editing many music videos including Goddess Killer by Silvermoney (Venice, the Series) and Kelly Moneymaker's Heroine, as well as designed cd/dvd packages for clients that include Cameron Crowe, Nancy Wilson, Stuart Mathis (The Wallflowers), Kelly Moneymaker (Exposé), Emmy-nominee and award winning writer Sam Bobrick (Bewitched, Get Smart) and more.
Lecture/advisor
Kehan was an industy mentor for the Master Of Creative Enterprise Program at Massey University (NZ). He has lectured, guest directed and advised at other universities and schools such as Ara Institute of Canterbury (NZ), New World School Of The Arts (FL), University of Idaho (ID), Wright State University (OH), Point Park University (PA), Mt. San Antonio College (CA), David Howard’s Dance Center (NYC) as well as multiple high schools, performing arts academies and non-profit organizations across the US.
